Human Rights Watch, De Balie and partners present the sixth edition of the Human Rights Weekend. This year’s Human Rights Weekend invites you to reflect. What is your opinion on important human rights issues of our time? How are you indirectly involved in human rights violations elsewhere? What could be your role in defending human rights? Find out.
Decide where you stand, by participating in a weekend of human rights films, discussions and photography. Meet film directors, Human Rights Watch researchers, activists, members of parliament, journalists and others and discover your position on topics such as abuses in the smartphone industry, restrictions on freedom of expression, limitations to shelter for refugees in the region, and obstructions of same-sex marriage.
The event covers a wide range of countries, from Russia to Burma (Myanmar) and from Mexico to Liberia. Join us in Amsterdam, and find out where you stand.
All programs will be in English.
